    Security starts right outside the door: Especially in winter, when it gets dark earlier, video surveillance in outdoor areas increases the sense of security for everyone involved. A monitored car park deters potential offenders at an early stage and helps staff and passers-by to feel less alone. Entrance and reception areas need to be secured against thieves and unauthorised persons just as much as beautifully designed interiors and storage areas with valuables.
