At first glance, it is difficult to tell the difference between the FOS 550 window bar lock, which is purely mechanical, and the FOS 550 E wireless window bar lock, which is electronic. You can use the wireless upgrade kit to prepare the FOS 550 mechanical window bar lock for use with the Secvest wireless alarm system.

The wireless upgrade kit contains: Electronic attachment with circuit board and fasteners, batteries, FOS 550 E twist handle and magnet bracket including magnet and fasteners. Upgrading FOS 550 window bar locks that have already been installed is simple and uncomplicated and can be done at any time.

Note: We recommend the ABUS wireless test box for optimum detection of the wireless range of the mechatronic products on site.

For safe and proper operation, this device must be installed and regularly maintained by a professional trained by us. Arrange regular maintenance appointments with your installer to ensure trouble-free operation in the long term with the latest security updates and new functions.
